It’ll be a Christmas that one Logan City trail bike rider will want to forget.

RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital on Christmas Day, after he was injured in a trail bike crash.

It’s believed the motorcyclist, aged in his thirties, had been riding when he suddenly lost control of his bike and crashed in an open field.

The rescue chopper was called to the scene in the Logan region, just before 2.15pm, and the pilot was able to land the helicopter close to the accident.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat him for chest injuries.

After being stabilised, he was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
