Logan City Bears Gridiron has announced its 2020 volunteer of the year.
Club president Chris Bradshaw said volunteers are hard to find sometimes and great volunteers are even harder to find.
“We’ve been extremely blessed this year to have a number of great volunteers within our club who without we wouldn’t have been able to have such a successful year from a club perspective,” he said.

“Picking a winner of this award was really challenging given the amount of work various people have put in.
“Our Volunteer of the Year this year is Paula Hay, chances are if you’ve been to the canteen at all this year you’ve dealt with Paula as she was there from beginning to close at all 4 of our home games serving all the food and drinks.
“Along with the cleanup and restock each week.
“Those around the club will also know Paula’s passion for recycling and without fail she has recycled $200 worth of cans and bottles from game days which is really impressive.
“She’s amazing and been a massive help all year.
“Thank you Paula, you are a star.”
