The masks are now off with restrictions imposed on the Greater Brisbane area, including Logan City, following this month’s 3-day lockdown easing Friday.

Indoor venues, including restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, libraries, places of worship and art galleries can cater to one person per 2 square metres.

Private gatherings of up to 100 are allowed in public spaces, while ticketed venues like cinemas and theatres can return to 100% capacity.

Wedding and funeral guest limits return to 200 people and private gatherings at homes can increase to 50. Dancing is also back.

Queensland’s chief health officer Dr Jeannette Young said it’s crucial people don’t become complacent.

“It is particularly important for the next 14 days that here in the Greater Brisbane area anyone with any symptoms at all please just come forward and get tested,” she said.
