Despite the recent wet weather, it seems La Nina has done little to fill dams across South-East Queensland.

They’re currently sitting at 56 percent capacity as we near the end of the wet season, despite forecasts from the weather bureau the La Nina would bring more rain and cyclones.

Chris Owen from S-E-Q Water believes there’s still hope.

“We were at a similar storage capacity last February and then we saw a bunch of rain take us from this level to the mid 60’s. So there’s still the opportunity there for more rain”.
