Logan City Council is urging the public to remain vigilant near flood water despite the city’s flood threat easing.
The Albert River is now receding and the Logan River is expected to peak at Maclean Bridge at 5pm, well below the 2017 flood level.
Despite the reduced danger, Council will continue door knocking in vulnerable areas to check on residents and ensure their safety.
Residents who live near the Logan and Albert rivers are advised to maintain an awareness of their surroundings and monitor water levels in their area.
For flood emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500. For life-threatening emergencies, call Triple Zero (000).
