It’s over concerns of a significant water surge.

Last yesterday, officials discovered that one of the walls on one of the 12 local dams was found to be leaking at a local crayfish farm that’s currently under construction.
7News reporter McKenzie Ravn has told My News Feed “The leak has caused concern that it could rupture and cause damage to the remaining dam which would send a rush of water over the roadway.
“It could potentially put motorists in the area at risk”.
As a precaution, the road has been closed and but there is already water over the roadway.
Police are on scene and the property owner is using an excavator to attempt to drain the water out safely.
In general, there’s a lot of water around the area but there are signs it is easing.
“A lot of the roads have started to re-open, and it’s expected that the roads that are still flooded will eventually dry up over the next 24 hours”.
