The Scenic Rim Regional Council isn’t hosting its own event in 2021, instead we encourage the people to join in on the community events planned this weekend.
Councillor Virginia West together with the Moriarty Park Management Committee is hosting a Clean Up Australia Day event at Moriarty Park in Canungra on Sunday 7 March from 8am to 10am. All welcome.

Beaudesert Girl Guides event organised by Markeeta Bell at Jubilee Park Beaudesert on Friday 5 March, 5pm to 7.30pm
April Turner’s event meeting at Canungra Village Garden on Saturday 6 March, 9am to 11am.
Laura Bruin’s event meeting at Lot 1 Tamborine Mountain Road, Tamborine Mountain (opposite Sky Walk) on Sunday 7 March from 5.30am to 11.30am.
Crystal Bazley’s event meeting at Boomerang Lagoon, Kooralbyn on Sunday 7 March, from 8am to 12pm.

Council can provide bins, additional gloves, bags and pickers to participating groups. Any rubbish associated with official Clean Up Australia Day events is accepted at Council’s Waste Transfer Stations free of charge.
Supporting Clean Up Australia Day is one way we can engage with our community about the shared responsibility of managing waste.
Council is on journey to combat littering and encourages all visitors and residents to take responsibility for the waste they generate.
Council provides litter pick up services to keep our parks and roads beautiful. The more active our community is in keeping our region clean, the more Council can focus on improving and expanding on other waste services.
