  • Rod Stephen is a former television journalist and has worked as Foreign Editor for the Seven Network, Australian Bureau Chief for TV3 New Zealand, UK correspondent for Seven and ABC radio and as a producer for Reuters TV in London as well as SBS in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane to work at 4BC.

Logan City Council, Lions at Springwood, Metro South Health, and the Queensland Police Service joined forces for an afternoon ‘Drink Rite’ session last Saturday.

The program was run in a controlled and supervised setting and aimed to educate the participants on the effects of alcohol consumption.

Breath tests were conducted on the volunteers at 30-minute intervals, and their readings recorded.

The ‘drunk goggles’ also made a cameo appearance which highlighted the effects of various levels of alcohol intoxication.

Logan Police partnered with the Logan City Council and the local liquor industry to promote and foster a positive culture around responsible consumption of alcohol, and to reduce alcohol-related offences within our community.
