Covid fragments in Logan City – what next?

Authorities continue to remind us to be vigilant – and get tested for Covid 19 if you feel sick.

ALL non-essential visits to hospitals in the Greater Brisbane area,  including Logan Hospital, are banned after a doctor tested positive to COVID-19 after treating two patients at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The comment comes after more positive returns of Covid fragments in waste water across Queensland.

In particular,  the recent discovery in the Loganholme treatment facility which handle 35 Logan City suburbs.

Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said Queensland Health has increased its testing capacity to help manage demand at respiratory clinics across the state, particularly in the south-east corner.

“A positive sewage result means that someone who has been infected was shedding the virus,” Dr Young said in a statement.

Going further back,  tests collected on December 29 and 30 returned positive results in Warwick, Stanthorpe, Loganholme and Cairns.
