Two Logan City men and one from Ipswich have been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a violent armed robbery at an Eastern Heights bakery on Sunday afternoon.
About 2.15pm on September 5, two men allegedly entered the business on Grange Road, armed with firearms, demanding cash.
One of these men allegedly fired their weapon towards a 40-year-old bakery attendant as she attempted to flee.
The projectile narrowly missed the woman, instead striking her with a projectile in the back.
The same man then allegedly attempted to fire a second shot towards another bakery attendant, however the weapon failed.
While this was occurring, police allege his accomplice jumped the counter and stole the cash register.
The pair fled the scene in a vehicle allegedly driven by a third man.
The injured 40-year-old bakery attendant was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was found in the carpark of a unit block in Silkstone that evening with the empty cash register located nearby.
A 21-year-old Logan Central man, a 20-year-old Kingston man and a 37-year-old Leichardt man have each been charged with two counts of attempted murder and armed robbery and one count of enter premises with intent, unlawful possession of weapons and unlawfully possessing ammunition.
They were refused bail.
The 21-year-old man faced the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, while the 37-year-old man attended the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.
The 20-year-old man will appear at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday September 9.
