This was how the crime spree ended last Monday when 29 year old Manoora man, Mitchell Ryan West was captured by police at Alligator Creek.
His 30 year old friend from Woodridge, Anthony John Colin James was arrested about an hour earlier at Salisbury Plains.
Both men appeared in two separate magistrates courts in north Queensland on Tuesday.
Mr James faced Bowen Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to appear in that court again on the 2nd of November.
A litany of charges have been leveled against him, including stealing, car theft, armed robbery with violence and breach of bail.
Manoora man Mitchell Ryan West faced Townsville’s Magistrates Court the same day and was remanded in custody until November the 3rd.
He faced court on 24 charges which included unlawful use of a motor vehicle, armed robbery with violence, unlicensed driving, failure to appear in court and evasion.
The pair’s crime spree started on Sunday afternoon when Mr James allegedly used a screwdriver to threaten the attendant at a grocery store in Coomera during an armed robbery.
Then on Monday afternoon, the two men were involved in the alleged robbery of a Sarina bottleshop in which the employee was threatened with a tyre iron.
Nearly three hours later, a man was allegedly carjacked in Bowen by the pair.
Both men will be back in court for sentencing in November.
