Police are investigating after a man was assaulted by two men, before being struck by a passing truck at Logan Central last Thursday which was filmed by a local.
Around 2.40pm, a 25-year-old Woodridge man was riding a scooter on the footpath along Wembley Road when he was allegedly assaulted by two men armed with wooden pickets, causing him to lose control onto Wembley Road and into the path of an oncoming truck.
Two men and a woman fled the scene in a maroon Nissan patrol, which was intercepted by police nearby on Jacaranda Street.
The trio was taken into custody and transported to Logan Central Station. The woman was later released after investigations revealed she had no part in the assault.
Paramedics transported the 25-year-old man to the PA Hospital in a stable condition, where it was later confirmed he had a skull fracture.
At this stage, the 25-year-old has declined to make a formal complaint and the two men have been released.
Investigations continue.
