Motorists should be having an easier drive through Greenbank because of recently completed roadworks at the intersection of Teviot Road and Greenbank Road.
The road to the intersection has been widened, to include a slip lane so that turning cars won’t block traffic flow..
Teviot Road has seen big increases in traffic recently, because of new residents moving to the area and the recent closure of Scott Lane.
The work was completed as part of Logan City Council’s Way2Go Plan for improving local infrastructure, which contains plans for numerous upgrades to Teviot Road and others in Logan.
Other key pieces of work to come are the planned Stage 1 upgrade to the Middle Road and Teviot Road roundabout.
Division 11 Councillor Natalie Willcocks says “ the upgrade will help to ensure Teviot Road is able to safely accommodate future traffic demands and so will the upgrade to New Beith Road.”
