Pink Stumps Day at Glenlogan park has become a signature event for the region drawing massive crowds to the suburban cricket ground. Last year’s event raised a staggering $33,000 for the McGrath Foundation which funds nurses that assist people dealing with breast cancer.
The event rolls around again this Saturday, February 12th with all the excitement locals have come to love about the event.
The high ball catching competition always gets things rolling and the auction items are not to be missed. But it all culminates in the Jimboomba Bushrangers vs Celebrity Team game.
The Bushrangers squad is led by former club president and Pink Stumps day co-organiser Rodney Teese. The Bushrangers squad all pay to play in the game which is a great kick-starter to the fundraising efforts. As always the “Bushies” will rely on home field advantage to get them over the line against the powerful celebrity side.

The Celebrity Team is packed with local and national talent. Led by Division 9 Councillor Scott Bannan and Joel Hall from Rebel FM’s The Sports Show the Celebrity team lineup consists of:
- Nathan Reardon (Former QLD and Australian T20 cricketer)
- Cameron Boyce (Australian T20 cricketer)
- Jimmy Maher (QLD cricket legend)
- Michael Kasprowicz (Australian Test, ODI and T20 cricketer)
- Andrew Gode (Valleys Cricket Club and We Got the Chocolates Podcast)
- Leigh Drennan (Redlands Cricket Club and We Got the Chocolates Podcast)
But the big excitement for this year is that Australian cricketing legend Glenn McGrath himself will be onsite on the night. Glenn will be mingling with the crowd, signing autographs and bowling the first ball in the celebrity game.
Gates open from 4pm with the main game under lights from 7 o’clock.
