Severe thunderstorms hit Logan and the Scenic Rim earlier this morning bringing with them large hailstones, heavy rainfall and damaging winds.
The severe weather warning from the Bureau of Meteorology has now been cancelled.
The Bureau says the immediate threat has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services says that in the event of more storms you should move your car undercover or away from trees and secure loose outdoor items.
They also say you should never drive through floodwaters. If it’s flooded, forget it.
