The Bureau of Meteorology is warning that more severe storms are likely across Logan and the Scenic Rim later today and they pose a flood risk for already-saturated creeks and rivers.
Both regions are set for a short burst of rain this morning before the possibly severe thunderstorms could bring heavy rain, large hail and damaging winds from the Wide Bay through to Brisbane, Logan, the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast.
The Bureau says it can’t rule out some storms developing into high-end, very dangerous thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, but that will depend on a potential wind change.
