A woman is dead and a man is fighting for life after what’s believed to be a domestic violence incident in Logan early this morning.
Neighbours believe a molotov cocktail was used to set fire to the home with children inside at Bidyan Boulevarde in New Beith around three o’clock this morning.
When firefighters arrived they found the home fully engulfed by flames and the roof partially collapsed.
Inside they found the dead woman and a man with burns to ninety percent of his body and another woman with suspected airway burns.
They were both rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital hospital by ambulance and the three children inside were taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Three fire crews now have the blaze under control and are dampening down hot spots.
A fire investigator is expected to be on scene later this morning.
