Logan and Scenic Rim parents are being urged to watch for changes in their child’s behaviour which suggests they might be a target of cyberbullying.
Latest figures reveal a total of 875 cyberbullying reports concerning children were made to eSafety in the first six months of this year; an 80 percent increase on the first half of last year.
It comes amid a spate of social media challenges used to shame and humiliate others, including ‘Guess Who’, ‘Someone Who’ and ‘Smash or Pass’.
The General Manager at eSafety, Rebecca Razavi is urging parents to have conversations with their children and be on the lookout for any warning signs.
