A teenage boy who was critically injured in an electric scooter crash in Logan last Tuesday morning has passed away in the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Police say the 15 year old local boy was riding on the footpath at Basalt Drive near Yarrabilba State Secondary College and not wearing a helmet.
They say he was travelling at about 20 kilometres an hour when he lost control and fell from the scooter.
The Forensic Crash Unit and the Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
