LOGAN CITY residents will be treated to a unique mix of music genres rolled into one, at Logan Entertainment Centre this November.
The Saruzu Quartet, known for their combination of Argentine Tango, flamenco, and gypsy jazz, will be gracing the stage November 21 to showcase their musical talents.
Making up this engaging quartet are some of Australia’s finest jazz and flamenco musicians, Andrew Veivers on guitar, Simone Pope with flamenco dance and percussion, Shenton Gregory playing violin, and Andrew Shaw on double bass, with special guest vocalist, Kacey Patrick.

Andrew Veivers
Saruzu Quartet Guitarist and established musician, director, composer and teacher, Andrew Veivers, says he loves being part of the musically dynamic ensemble.
“The variety of repertoire in terms of genre, the integration of composed and improvised structures, [and] the incredibly high calibre of the other members of the group…always pushes me to find more refined or exciting ways of approaching the music,” Mr Veivers said.
Guests attending the Logan event can expect to hear a blend of genres with all the passion and energy associated with Flamenco, Tango and Gypsy Jazz music.
“The musicians…are bursting at the seems to get back on to the stage again and are indescribably grateful for the opportunity to do so,” Mr Veivers said.
“It’s going to be a hoot.”
