Do you have an old mobile phone lying around collecting dust?

Not sure what to do with it?

Did you know about the DV Safe Phone Program?

Logan Police have partnered up with this program to be the first police station drop point in the Logan District and the State.

Community members will now be able to donate their phones at a drop box, located at the Logan Central Police Station which is open 24 hours a day.

The mobile phone is something that many of us take for granted, but it can be a lifesaver for victims of domestic and family violence.

DV Safe Phone will ensure your old mobile phone is erased, tested and distributed to someone in need. So, get digging through your drawers and cupboards and you might just help save a life!

Before handing it in, make sure you erase all data, remove SIM and/or memory cards, sign out of accounts, and unlock the phone.

Just head into the Logan Central Police Station to donate your phone.

Alternatively, you can visit the DV Safe Phone website for other donation point options: http://dvsafephone.com.au
