Logan man faces upgraded charges over deadly fight

A 29-year old Logan Central man is now facing upgraded charges following the death of a man who was injured after allegedly being punched in the head and falling to the ground in Brisbane.

37-year old Shannon Finemore has passed away in hospital.

Finemore and a friend were walking down a street in Fortitude Valley last Tuesday night when they got into a fight with two other men from a nearby apartment block.

Police say he was punched and knocked to the ground where he hit his head.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition, but has died from his injuries.

The Logan man and a 28-year old man have already been charged over the incident and have had their cases mentioned in court, but those charges have been upgraded.

The Logan Central man is due to reappear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 18, 2021.
