The number of people infected with COVID-19 in Logan and the Scenic Rim isn’t as high as yesterday but sadly Queensland now has a record figure of 18 more deaths in the last 24 hours, including an unvaccinated man in his 30’s.
Logan now has 20,488 cases – a jump of 384 infections overnight, while the Scenic Rim has hit 1,030 cases – an increase of 16.
Of the other deaths Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says 12 of the 18 were aged care residents.
Four of the people who died were in their 60s, four were in their 70s, seven were in their 80s, and two were in their 90s.
Six of them were unvaccinated, two were double dosed and three had received a booster.
Statewide there are 9,974 new cases.
