Editorial policy

What we cover

Local news for Logan, the Gold Coast, Brisbane and South East Queensland comes first, followed by national stories that matter to readers here.

Sources and attribution

Many daily stories summarise reporting first broadcast or published by other news organisations. Each of those stories names the original source. We do not present another outlet's reporting as our own original reporting.

Accuracy and dates

• New daily stories are drawn from recent source material; older material is not presented as breaking news.
• When a story is materially updated, the updated date is recorded.
• Archive stories (2020-2023) keep their original publication dates and bylines.

Independence

Sponsored or advertising content, if any, is clearly labelled and kept separate from news.

Corrections

Mistakes are corrected promptly. See the corrections policy, or tell us through the contact form.
