Fog a problem for Brisbane bound motorists

It might be a sunny morning for Logan City and the Scenic Rim, but many motorists have been caught off guard this morning to be hit by fog in Brisbane.

A thick blanket of fog caused motorists to slow down on the M1 heading into the Brisbane C-B-D this morning.

At sunrise, the fog was getting thicker and forecasters say it was expected to stay in Brisbane for the morning rush hour commute and won’t lift until atleast 9:00 this-morning.

The fog stretches from Ipswich in the west to Brisbane’s northside and as you enter the city in the south.

The fog has not stopped planes from arriving and taking off at Brisbane airport.

Motorists are being advised to slow down on the M1.
