Local fire ban continues

  • Scott Mayman is an award-winning radio presenter and journalist who has worked professionally in both Australia and in the United States and is also a Correspondent for CBS News Radio in New York.

As temperatures rise, fire authorities have imposed a local fire ban for Logan City and the Scenic Rim which is expected to stay in effect until atleast Thursday.

Some parts of the Scenic Rim will see the temperatures exceed 40 degrees, while parts of Logan City are expected to reach the high 30’s.

There’ll be no relief until Thursday at the earliest with a chance of rain and temperatures dropping to about 30 degrees.
