The Federal Member for Rankin has signalled changes to the negative gearing policy –
Under that plan, tax deductions would be restricted to new properties.
The Labor Opposition is now deciding whether to adjust the policy, or dump it altogether.

Rankin MP Jim Chalmers has told Sky News, Labor is considering its options, saying the party was still working through its agenda and would not be rushed into making decisions.
“No political party takes an identical agenda, an identical set of policies, to one election that they took to the last one,” He told Sky News.
