The man accused of sparking two emergency declarations south of Logan City will face court today.
The man was on the run for more than 24 hours, following a domestic violence incident at Upper Coomera on Monday night.
The manhunt began on Tuesday morning when Ormeau State School and surrounding streets were thrown into lockdown, over suggestions the 37-year-old was armed with a gun.
The police action also caused traffic issues for motorists from Logan City who were heading south.
The man managed to escape and remained at large until yesterday afternoon when officers closed in on a Nerang home, sparking a second emergency declaration.
The man was taken into custody after being bitten by a police dog.
He’s due to face court today charged over a string of domestic violence offences, as well as allegedly taunting police online.
