Marsden teenager charged over stabbing

A 17-year-old Marsden girl has been charged over the stabbing of a man in Surfers Paradise.

It’s alleged that around 4am on Wednesday (Sept 23), a 30-year-old man and his male friend were walking through the Cavill Street Mall when a confrontation took place between them and a group of females.

During the altercation the 30-year-old was stabbed a number of times. He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.

The girl has been charged with one count of wounding and is due to appear in Southport Children’s Court on September 30.
