MP apologises for serious mistake

  • Rod Stephen is a former television journalist and has worked as Foreign Editor for the Seven Network, Australian Bureau Chief for TV3 New Zealand, UK correspondent for Seven and ABC radio and as a producer for Reuters TV in London as well as SBS in Sydney and Melbourne before returning to Brisbane to work at 4BC.

A state M.P has been forced to apologise to parliament, after he spoke about the accused Logan City murderer, charged over the roadside deaths on Australia Day of a couple from Alexandra Hills.

M.P Mark Robinson made his apology yesterday, after he was accused of putting in jeopardy a criminal hearing into the case, by breaching sub judice rules.

The comments can not be repeated for legal reason but parliamentary discussion has found,  there’s potentially enough evidence that it could put the criminal case against the Waterford West teenager,  in jeopardy.

The M.P  has since apologised.
