Brighton police to host Coffee With A Cop and Neighbourhood Watch chat

Police will host a Coffee With A Cop session at Luan Café in the Brighton shopping centre this Sunday, 8 November, and residents are invited to come along for a chat.

The event runs from 10.30am to 11.30am at 353 Beaconsfield Terrace, Brighton. Officers will also be at the Mobile Police Beat at the Brighton shops.

Police described Brighton as a relaxed, coastal, bayside suburb of Brisbane with very low reported crime, and said they want to keep it that way.

Part of the conversation will focus on setting up a new online Brighton Neighbourhood Watch group. Residents who cannot attend on Sunday can register their interest with Aron and Luan by emailing brightonneighbourhoodwatch@gmail.com.

Police said they look forward to connecting with residents and answering any questions or concerns. Seymour, the Neighbourhood Watch mascot, will also be there with the Queensland Police Service and Neighbourhood Watch.

More information on how Neighbourhood Watch works with police to keep communities safe is available through Neighbourhood Watch Queensland.
