Police are investigating deliberate dangerous driving that damaged lawns and playing fields at Nikenbah and Torquay early on 24 October, and want information.

Hervey Bay Police are investigating reports of deliberate dangerous driving that damaged lawned areas across the Hervey Bay area early on Saturday 24 October.

Police say a vehicle damaged the grass at a charity on Nikenbah Dundowran Road, Nikenbah, at about 1.10am. A silver Nissan Navara dual cab was seen in the area, and police believe its occupants may have information about the incident (QP2602102145).

A Torquay sporting club has also reported wilful damage. A grey Holden Rodeo dual cab ute was seen at the club's Raward Road premises at 3am and is believed to have damaged the playing fields and a bicycle rack (QP2602102107).

Police are also looking into whether a silver Mazda BT-50 ute was involved in damaging other property in the area overnight. The ute was stolen from a Pialba residence sometime on Friday night and was found abandoned in Childers at about 1pm on Saturday (QP2602099963).
