Loganholme pub shooting leaves woman, 19, fighting for life
Video shows a Loganholme pub turned into a makeshift emergency room after a drive-by shooting, as Queensland's gun laws face fresh scrutiny.
New video has emerged showing the frantic efforts to help victims of a drive-by shooting in Logan, in Brisbane's south, with a pub effectively becoming a makeshift emergency room in the minutes afterwards.
Nine News Brisbane reported in its Monday 26 October bulletin that a 19-year-old woman was fighting for her life after a night out with friends ended in gunfire. The network said it could reveal her identity. Her condition was described as of that bulletin, and no later update was available in the source material.
The footage shows the urgent attempts to treat those hurt while help was awaited. The bulletin did not detail the number of people injured, the circumstances of the shooting or whether anyone has been charged.
The Loganholme shooting has also put Queensland's gun laws back in the spotlight. The Premier was questioned over whether the state's decision not to sign up to the national gun buyback scheme was the right one. The bulletin did not set out the Premier's response.
Melissa Downes and Joel Dry presented the 6pm Brisbane bulletin.
