Missing Mermaid Waters girl, 13, found safe by police

Police have located a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from Mermaid Waters on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Police Service had earlier appealed for help to find the girl, who was last seen around 7.30pm on Saturday, 31 October, near Crocker Park on Markeri Street.

Police and the girl's family had held concerns for her welfare because her disappearance was out of character.

The update confirming she had been located was issued on Sunday 1 November. The earlier appeal had urged anyone with information that could help find her to contact police.

Anyone with information relating to the matter can still call Policelink on 131 444. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.
