Katy Perry Adds Adelaide Show After Grand Final

Following a triumphant 20-minute performance at the AFL Grand Final, Katy Perry has announced an eighth show for her LIFETIMES Tour, adding Adelaide to her Australian itinerary.

The Roar singer took the stage at Brisbane's grand final in front of more than 100,000 spectators over the weekend, delivering what appears to have been a pivotal moment in her tour planning. By Monday morning, she had announced the new Adelaide date via social media, citing fan demand as the reason for the expansion.

The Adelaide Entertainment Centre will host Perry on June 26, capping off her Australian leg. It's a significant expansion from the tour's original scope. When the LIFETIMES Tour was first announced, it was slated for just three Australian cities—Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The tour has now more than doubled in size, with additional shows across most major markets.

Sydney will now host two shows on June 9 and 10 at Qudos Bank Arena, while Melbourne gets two dates at Rod Laver Arena on June 12 and 13. Brisbane, where she recently performed at the grand final, will have two shows on June 17 and 18. Perth rounds out the mainland leg with a single performance at RAC Arena on June 22.

Tickets go on sale through various pre-sale windows before general public sales open from 10am on Friday, October 4. The timing of the announcement suggests a strategic positioning to generate momentum ahead of the official ticket release.

The tour marks Perry's return to Australian stages for the first time in six years. Her last tour down under was in 2018 supporting her Witness album, which grossed over $122 million worldwide. The LIFETIMES Tour is built around her latest album, 143, which arrived earlier this month. The record includes singles such as Woman's World and the title track Lifetimes.

The grand final performance served as a significant public relations moment for Perry, offering direct exposure to a massive audience immediately before the tour's ticket sale. The quick expansion to eight shows suggests confidence in fan appetite for the expanded itinerary.
