Two Door Cinema Club & Declan McKenna Co-Headline Australian Tour

Two major indie rock acts have announced their first co-headlining Australian tour, bringing seven dates across the country's principal venues this December. Two Door Cinema Club and Declan McKenna will perform together for the first time in a joint Australian run, marking a significant touring partnership for both artists and their combined fanbases.

The Northern Irish trio last visited Australia in 2019, while UK singer-songwriter McKenna was in the country earlier this year. Their complementary indie sensibilities—Two Door Cinema Club's upbeat, kinetic guitar work paired with McKenna's introspective, lyrically dense songwriting—make for a compelling double billing that launches in just over two months.

The seven-date run kicks off on December 4 at Perth's Ice Cream Factory, followed by the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on December 6. The tour then moves to Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on December 8 and the University of Wollongong Gardens on December 10. The Sunshine Coast's The Station hosts a show on December 12, with Brisbane's Riverstage on December 13. The tour concludes in Newcastle at Bar On The Hill on December 14.

London-based five-piece Soft Launch will support both acts across all seven shows, rounding out a lineup that speaks to the breadth of contemporary indie rock.

Two Door Cinema Club have built nearly two decades of cult-standing reputation around their 2010s breakthrough, particularly their debut album Tourist History. The band continues to evolve, with their fifth album exploring 80s-influenced production and tackling themes of love, consumerism, and modern existence. McKenna catapulted to international prominence through his debut album What Do You Think About The Car?, but reached a new generation when his track "Brazil"—a social commentary on global poverty—went viral on TikTok in 2022. His latest release, What Happened To The Beach?, includes standout tracks like "Mulholland's Dinner and Wine" and "Nothing Matters."

Ticket access rolls out across three phases. Live Nation members can access presale on Tuesday, September 24 at 10am AEST, followed by general public sales on Wednesday, September 25 from 11am AEST. Mastercard holders and Secret Sounds members also have early-access presale opportunities available.
