The Queensland Police Service says it is committed to reducing the number of lives lost on Queensland roads, but that enforcement alone cannot stop all dangerous driving behaviours. Police say every choice made behind the wheel matters, and that driving under the influence, speeding, driving distracted or fatigued, or not wearing a seatbelt puts lives at serious risk. Police say these behaviours will not be tolerated.
