A 19 year old has been granted immediate parole eligibility despite being convicted of ramming a police car in Logan City and carrying out a series of burglaries.
The police incident occurred earlier this year when the teen smashed his vehicle head on with a patrol car in Beenleigh causing nearly $40,000 worth of damage.
The teen managed to drive away to a remote Logan City property but was later apprehended by police after he crashed into a ditch.
In addition to ramming a police car, The court heard he was driving an unregistered and uninsured car along Wembley and Browns Plains Roads when spotted by police.
He was also identified as being involved in a series of home thefts.
The 19 year old was sentenced to 20 months jail, but with immediate parole eligibility.
