Queensland Music Festival is running a one of a kind workshop where Logan City youth could learn music production from the best in the business for free, all while having ‘a lot of fun’.
Eve Klein from Queensland Music Festival said she was beyond excited to offer this opportunity, supported by Ableton, to youth under 25 years old with a passion for music.
“We have two different kinds of workshops to apply for,” Ms Klein said.
“There’s basic beat and bass production where you will learn how to use Ableton Live and will be working with me, I’m an Ableton trainer.
“This is designed for aspiring producers and anyone who wants to learn how to use Ableton Live.
“The other is our fundamentals of rap workshop. That’s about how to write and perform rap.
“It will be with two amazing Brisbane artists, Mayella Dewis and Taitu’uga KITCH Wesche.”
Ms Klein said no experience was needed to apply, just a passion for music and production.
“When applying all you need to do is tell us a little bit about yourself and why you’re interested in applying,” she said.
“We don’t require any experience but we do want to see if you’re passionate about music, if you want to enter the music industry, or even if you’re just curious about the music industry.
“We want to see people who care about music applying. We have very limited places.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
They are taking expressions of interest online and Logan City youth have until Sunday, December 20 to apply here.
Ms Klein said they will be letting successful applicants know before Christmas next week.
