Positive signs for Logan City: treasurer

There are positive signs that local businesses in Logan City are on track for a bumper year in 2021.

The comment has been made by state treasurer and member for Woodridge Cameron Dick.

He said locals have shown how they fought the adversity of the global pandemic and he’s confident the “can do” attitude will continue to move forward in 2021.

“This is the best city in Queensland as far as I’m concerned,” said Mr Dick. “It’s a city where I live, where I have my family and where I work.

“I think what we’ve seen through COVID-19 is the resilience story. It’s the strength and resilience of Queenslanders and there’s no better city that exemplifies that than the city of Logan.

“They take on challenges head on and they defeat them and I think that’s what we saw.”

Mr Dick said even though this has been the most trying time of all of our lifetimes, the people of the Logan community have just got on with the work.

They got on with the challenge of keeping business going and looking after their families.
