There was hope, the Scenic Rim bushfire would be put out by the weekend, but with hot blustery conditions expected on Sunday, fire crews remain at the scene of a blaze burning near Kooralbyn for nearly a week.
Bushfire warning level: ADVICE
In the latest update issued on Sunday morning, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently on scene at a bushfire burning near Green Hills Road between Kooralbyn and Allandale.
The fire is currently posing no threat to property. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and will continue to monitor the situation. People are asked to close windows and doors and keep medications close by.
Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
