The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting hot days for the start of the week in Logan and with the weather warming up we’re going to see a lot more snakes coming out of hibernation looking for food.
The forecast for Logan today is 34 degrees and 30 degrees and sunny for back to work and school tomorrow.
Just after 10pm last night Queensland ambulance paramedics were called to a Cedar Creek home to deal with a snake bite. A child was taken to the Prince Charles hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.
Snakes are a protected species in Queensland and as the weather warms up we’re going to see a lot more of them in suburbia. Snake catchers perform a very important job and along with your emergency numbers in your phone, list your local snake catcher’s number, so it’s on hand if you need it.
