Police are investigating the unlawful wounding of a 29-year-old Moorooka man in Kuraby on Tuesday night.
At about 9pm, police allege two cars were parked at Svoboda Park on the corner of Beenleigh Road and Stiller Drive.
Investigations indicate a 26-year-old man got out of his car and into the second vehicle, before both the man and the driver left the park and drove along Beenleigh Road.
A short time later, the car lost control and crashed.
Police allege that during the drive, the driver stabbed the 26-year-old Moorooka man twice in the chest and once in the abdomen.
The driver subsequently left the scene on foot and has not been spotted since.
It is believed the man and driver were known to each other.
Police and emergency services attended the scene and the man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Two crime scenes have been declared and investigations are ongoing.
