Teenager found dead after search of popular swimming spot

A teenage boy who disappeared while swimming with a friend  at a popular swimming spot in the Scenic Rim has been found dead.

Police say two boys got into trouble late yesterday afternoon while swimming at Cedar Creek Falls.

The 13-year-old didn’t make it back to shore, sparking a search and rescue operation in the area.

Specialist police, firefighters and paramedics searched the water and shoreline for the boy and police later confirmed he’d been found dead.
