Greenbank Services Club hits high notes at unique karaoke competition

Rockaoke tonight at Greenbank Services Club

Greenbank Services Club’s Rockaoke competition is back! The karaoke competition is currently underway at the Greenbank Services Club and is in its 6th week of heats, as competitors gear up for another night of head to head singing this Friday night.

But this karaoke competition is different from others. Contestants will choose their songs and will then perform with a real life rock band!

$10,000 is up for grabs for those entered into the Greenbank Services Club’s Rockaoke Competition, which goes ahead every Friday evening. Registration is from 7pm until 8.30pm sharp, and kicks off at 8pm.

The prizes up for grabs are:

Heats 1-7: Friday 3rd September to Friday 15th October.
2 contestants each night.
2 x $100 cash plus entry into Semi-Final.
Heat 8: Friday 22nd October
4 x Contestants + 2 x Wild Cards.
6 x $100 plus entry into Semi-Final.
Semi-Finals: Friday 29th October
10 contestants.
10 x $100 cash plus entry into the Grand Final.
Grand Final: Friday 5th November
1st Place: $3,000 cash
2nd Place: $1,500 cash
3rd Place: $750 cash
4th Place: $500 cash
5th Place: $150 cash
6th to 10th Place: $100 cash

Remember, all registered contestants will be judged by the following three criteria:

  • Vocal Abilities: Maximum 50 points
  • Presentation and Showmanship: Maximum 35 points
  • Technical Skills: Maximum 15 points

Competitors will be judged by a panel of three judges, which means a maximum of 300 points can be awarded per contestant, with a maximum of 100 points per judge.
