The coronial inquest into the deaths of a woman and her ex-partner in a torched Logan City home will investigate the pair’s history with police.

Doreen Langham, who had a Domestic Violence Order out against Gary Hely called triple zero, just hours before her home was set alight but her call for help was marked “non-urgent”.
Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski has said it appears the response was appropriate but the service’s previous interactions with Ms Langham will be reviewed.
“From the very first time and I’m saying from the very first time, that both these people came to the notice of police and I mean police in this state or elsewhere. We’re not going to just look at what happened in this incident, from the ninth on, we’re going to go, well what did we know before that? what was available? what was in systems? what was in national systems? what else was in our systems? did the system actually work?”
