Victorians who have been visiting Logan City are now able to return to the southern state as the Andrews government has eased travel restrictions.

Logan City’s risk level has been lowered from red to orange, meaning if you want to go to Victoria you will now need a permit and then be tested for coronavirus within 72 hours of arriving there.

You will also need to self-isolate until you get a negative result.

Victorian premier Daniel Andrews announced that the state had relaxed its restrictions on travel from Logan City and Greater Brisbane from 6pm Saturday (January 16).

Logan City was declared a red zone by Victoria when it and the Greater Brisbane area went into lockdown because of the discovery of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19 in a Brisbane quarantine hotel earlier this month.
