There is not much chance of rain Tuesday in Logan City and the Scenic Rim, but the humidity is expected to increase.
Meteorologist Rosa Hoff said a low pressure trough moving towards the southeast corner from the west is likely to increase the chance of showers and storms, as well as more humid conditions, Wednesday and Thursday, New Year’s Eve.
She said the trough will spread areas of rain, showers and storms across the Logan district from Wednesday.
Hoff continued that we can expect a wetter and cooler start to 2021, particularly in inland parts of the state.
“Some places will be as much as five or even six degrees below their December average maximum temperatures,” she said.
“For the end of the month, it’s not unusual for us to be a little on the warm side as well, so this will probably feel quite chilly in regard to the month we’ve had.”
