Women doing it tough open up about their problems at a special event in Logan City

The stage was set at Rowan Park in Slacks Creek on Wednesday for an outpouring of emotion.

Around 50 women who’ve been doing it tough turned up to be pampered under tents with free hairstyling, manicures, facials , eyebrow threading and clothing.

57-year-old Debra Franklin from Durack opened up about the struggles she’s been facing.

So did 40-year-old Sharleen Ramaiya who was from Logan but now lives in Goodna.

The Strategic Development Manager for YFS, Judith Hunter says there’s one major issue confronting the poor of Logan these days.

Founder of 4 Voices, Jo Westh enjoys being able to help those less fortunate.
