Volunteers have been warned to steer clear of houses which have been inundated until the wild weather passes.
A battered South-East Queensland region is set for more unstable weather over the next two days with thunderstorms forecast for the region.
Areas which have already been inundated are once again at risk due to the possibility of flash flooding.
This means that residents should put any clean-up plans on hold until the weather system moves through the region.
Nearby Brisbane City Council has issued an official warning to stay away from possible flash-flooding zones.
“Council advises isolated severe thunderstorms could continue into the weekend across the Brisbane local government area.
“Creek catchments remain saturated and could respond quickly to further rainfall, resulting in flash flooding.
“Residents are urged to secure loose objects, where possible, to reduce the risk of property damage. Take care in the wet weather and stay off flooded roads.”
